Staff Profiles

Vicki Link

From trainee to manager, LDT’s Vicki Link has never lost her enthusiasm for the hardwood trade.

Vicki previously worked for DLH, until James Latham bought the UK business and appointed Vicki to the top job, charging her with integrating it into the wider Lathams operation, while still operating as an independent agency and importer. Vicki maintains, LDT treats Lathams as just one of its customers across the UK and Ireland. What Lathams brings the business, is added management expertise and financial security in a highly competitive market

Outside of work Vicki likes to spend her leisure time spent with David and her daughter Sophie, following Crystal Palace and David’s team Charlton Athletic and trying to improve her golf.

Tania Whitehead

Logistics Manager

Starting her forest products career in the paper trade, Tania moved into the softwood industry in 1995 and subsequently transferred to the hardwood trade 9 years ago working for DLH UK, an international trading company.

In her current role as Logistics Manager and Chain of Custody Champion, she brings a wealth of experience to the LDT Team.

Away from the office, Tania enjoys dashing around in her much loved sports car, long countryside walks with her husband and dog Buffy, and spending time scouring garden centres for the next unusual plant to add to her garden.

Ben Jenn

Hardwood Trader

Ben joined the hardwood trade six years ago, after graduating from Loughborough University where he studied Politics and Economics.

He spent 5 years working for a Hardwood timber agent, where he was responsible for the procurement and sales of Far Eastern Hardwood. As well as having a passion for the timber industry.

Ben is also a fanatical supporter of Charlton Athletic Football Club and he also likes to travel, having recently spent a month touring New Zealand, Australia and Hong-Kong.

When he needs to unwind after a long day trading timber he enjoys exploring the local countryside with his trustee dog Rolo!

Sean Rivers

Hardwood Trader

Sean made the move from fine wines into timber starting with LDT in May 2014.

As a new face in the trade Sean has been busy learning and gaining new experiences. From working in an Importers yard, to his first customer visits, product stock takes and visiting LDTs third party kilns on the continent.

Whilst Sean is new to the Timber Trade and is still learning (as we all are on a daily basis) he more than makes up for it with his energy and interest in Timber.

When away from work Sean enjoys playing football, supporting Manchester United , socialising and cooking the family BBQ.
