LDT International

Introduction

Alongside its UK business, LDT has a growing overseas presence, with a fast expanding international sales division.

Through their role in procuring hardwood for their substantial landed stock holding in the UK, alongside significant forward volumes for UK importers and the James Latham group, LDT are well placed to source a wide range of hardwood requirements. Due to the volumes of timber required to satisfy this demand, LDT are able to not only supply competitively priced timber, but also items which are often difficult to source.

Mainland Europe

Alongside the 3,000m3 of landed stocks in the UK, LDT also carries stocks at two key sites in the Netherlands. Their strategic locations in mainland Europe are proving valuable to clients, offering a just in time service to large timber importers throughout the continent.

Environment

LDT take pride in their stringent environmental policy, and source products from both legal, and wherever possible, sustainable sources. As part of their commitment to sourcing material in compliance with the European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR), they are signatories to the UK Timber Trade Federations Responsible Purchasing Policy (RPP) and carry out rigorous due diligence on all supply lines. Such is their commitment to the environmental policy, LDT extend these strict purchasing requirements to timber being sold outside of the EU. This provides clients with not only peace of mind, but also a long term supply solution.
